Ordering Your Eternity Ring
So you have found your perfect ring, ordered it and perhaps now you wonder what happens next? Below we have listed all the steps that your ring of choice goes through after your order has reached us.
Step 1 – Confirming your ring size
Before we start creating your eternity ring, we want to be sure that the finished ring fits your finger perfectly. Unlike other rings eternity rings cannot be resized easily because most or all of the ring band is set with diamonds or other gemstones. If you have requested a ring sizer, we are waiting for your feedback by phone or email. You will find more details in our Ring Size Guide.
Step 2- Making your ring
As soon as we have the confirmation for your ring size, we start manufacturing the ring. Depending on the capacity of our workshop we need 5-10 working days.
First, our experienced goldsmiths create the ring rail in the precious metal you have selected. Our setting expert then places the desired gemstones under the microscope into the prepared settings with a steady hand. The finished ring is given a high gloss polish and is thoroughly inspected at the end to ensure that it meets our high quality requirements.
Step 3 – Hallmarking
By law all rings sold in the UK and much of Europe needs to be hallmarked so that you can have total confidence in the quality of the metals we use. This means sending the ring to an official assay office where the ring will be inspected and then laser engraved with our logo and makers mark as well as the official hallmarks – see here for more information on this process and what it entails. We always arrange express service for the hallmarking to ensure we minimize any delays.
Step 4 – Packaging and shipping
The completed ring will now be placed in our quality lined ForEternity ring box. Together with our certification and warranty statement, the ring box is packed in a rigid shipping box, in which your new Eternity ring arrives well protected. As soon as your parcel leaves our premises, you will receive an email notification with a shipping number that you can use to track the shipment. We always ship our jewellery insured and in a neutral packaging that does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about the contents. The return address is “Nel Designs Limited”.
In total, you must allow approximately 15 business days from the time you place your order until you have your custom Eternity ring in your hands.
